Wednesday, July 26th – Sunday, July 30th

Santa Cruz Waldorf School, Santa Cruz, CA

Live Education! is once again hosting the Summer Seminar at the Santa Cruz Waldorf School at the end of July. It is a wonderful opportunity to work with colleagues and mentors to plan for the upcoming school year. We combine foundation work with practical activities in the mornings and afternoons, with inner preparatory work in the evenings. It is a full 4 1/2 days with about 30 colleagues and a faculty of 12, allowing for plenty of one-on-one mentoring sessions with master Waldorf teachers. Our afternoon breakout sessions will include math movement, beginning recorder, storytelling, circle work, and creative discipline strategies.
In addition, George Hoffecker will be leading administrative support sessions.

We have a Waldorf children’s camp running alongside the seminar for children of participants ages 5-14 and will include activities in the arts, drama, spatial dynamics, circus, and archery.  Homeschool families, Waldorf class teachers (both private and public), administrators, and board members attend the Live Education! Summer Seminar each year, and many bookend the event with a few days of vacation exploring the redwoods and the beaches of lovely Santa Cruz.

The cost is $575 per adult, and Live Education! homeschooling parents are discounted to $495 when registered by May 10th. The price includes two organic, locally-sourced vegetarian meals daily shared in community. Childrens’ camp for ages 5-15 will cost $185 per student.
