Preparing Children for an Unpredictable World
A Presentation for Parents and Teachers
Saturday, Apr 07 2007
4 - 6 pm
Martha's Vineyard Public Charter School, State Road, W. Tisbury
The Plum Hill School, in conjunction with the Martha's Vineyard Public Charter School, presents a talk on how teachers can use both curriculum content and personal relationships with children to diminish fear and help children have a confident and optimistic outlook.
The presenter, Rainbow Rosenbloom holds a master's degree from Harvard where he studied Multiple-Intelligence Theory with Howard Gardner. He weaves this theoretical background with Waldorf educational philosophy and methods of the "the Compassionate Classroom". As an educator, Rainbow, has designed a popular curriculum for home-schoolers and currently works to coordinate the educational pathways of home, private, and public school options. His work will be of interest to anyone concerned about how the pressures and anxieties of our times are impacting our children and what we can do to help.
