International Waldorf educator and founder of the Live Education! Waldorf homeschooling program, Rainbow Rosenbloom, will provide an introduction to Waldorf education with a focus on how the method and curriculum are designed to appropriately meet the developmental stages of children.
This presentation is sponsored by the Pagosa Waldorf Initiative, which comprises families, teachers, and individuals committed to creating a Waldorf School in Pagosa Springs. The Initiative includes both the Pagosa Kinderhouse, a large family care home providing Waldorf-inspired care for children ages 3-6, and the Pagosa Waldorf Homeschool Co-op, encompassing a growing number of families, many of whom use the Live Education! curriculum.
Waldorf Homeschooling Workshop

This in-depth workshop will provide an opportunity for homeschooling families and co-ops in Colorado and New Mexico to network with one another while exploring strategies with Rainbow for teaching storytelling, academics, and the arts in multi-age settings.

The presenter, Rainbow Rosenbloom, founded the Live Education! Waldorf homeschooling program in 1997, after 12 years working with homeschooling families and coops. He studied Waldorf Education at Emerson College in England, worked as a class teacher and high school teacher in several Waldorf Schools, and helped construct an innovative Waldorf Charter school program in Monterey, California. He also has a Masters degree in Education from Harvard, where he studied Multiple Intelligence Theory with Howard Gardner.
