Winter Seminar in Fairbanks Alaska
We are excited to announce the first Live Education! Winter Homeschooling Seminar, to be held February 26-28, in Fairbanks, Alaska!
For parents homeschooling children of all ages, this seminar will highlight the use of Waldorf methods to present skill-building academic work in a creative and imaginative way. It will also feature age-specific break-out sessions in language arts, math, and handwork.
Please save the dates, and check back for more detailed information and registration to open soon!
August 2009
The 1st annual Live Education! Summer Seminar was a huge success, attracting more than 25 families from all over the country, from as far away as Rhode Island, New York, Kentucky, Alaska, as well as from all over California. All participants did eurythmy, drawing, handwork, and music, as well as studying both the spiritual and pedagogical foundations of Waldorf education. The afternoons were free to either have individual consultations for next year's homeschooling, or to explore the magnificence of Santa Cruz's redwood forests and beaches. Below are a couple of comments from attendees.
I was so impressed with the presenters! Each fully embodied what they were teaching.
I have never attended a conference where each member of the faculty attended their colleagues' sessions; this not only added to the intimacy of the conference, but also allowed for a wonderful sense of integration. Each presenter would refer to discussions/activities from previous sessions. Thank you Live Education!
Make plans to join us next summer (probably 3rd wk of July) for 5 days of inspiration and joyous celebration!
